BINGO is commissioning Australia's largest and most-advanced recycling facility at our Eastern Creek Recycling Ecology Park. Featuring cutting edge manufacturing technology, MPC2 (Materials Processing Centre) will be a world-leading recycling asset right here in Sydney. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a landmark project and what is set to become a significant asset in Australia's push to recycle more and landfill less. MPC2 is BINGO's biggest achievement to-date, with state-of-the-art systems and the latest in recovery, security and safety technology.

 

Bingo's dedicated team of Belt Splicer’s are responsible for maintaining, repairing and ensuring continued performance of our conveyor belts of all our fixed plant machinery at our Eastern Creek Ecology Park.

 

The role:

  • Eastern Creek location.
  • Afternoon and night shift. Full time permanent positions
  • Undertaking scheduled preventative maintenance checks on our extensive conveyor system
  • Identify and repair and replace damaged conveyor belts
  • Complete roller, skirt, scraper and any rubber lining repairs, replacements and maintenance
  • Provide accurate belt measurements through interpreting technical drawings, diagrams and instruction
  • Pre / post start equipment checks
  • Establish and coordinate a maintenance service program across the plant
  • Report on the conveyor’s ongoing suitability and reliability to ensure maximum operational efficiency

What you bring:

  • Relevant qualification in Polymer Processing or Heavy Mechanical trade
  • Previous belt splicing experience, carrying out maintenance and repairs on steel and fabric conveyor belts
  • Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • Be able to safely work in a heavy industrial environment
  • Demonstrated level of technical and problem solving competence
  • Assertive communication capabilities
  • Working at heights, confined space and EWP tickets highly desirable (but not necessary as we able to arrange)
  • Current drivers licence and own transport
