We're looking for a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team based at Sydney Olympic Park. Supporting operations across NSW, VIC and QLD, you'll deliver financial and performance analysis that helps drive business decisions, improve operational performance and support strategic growth. About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you'll support the Group's FP&A Business Partners by delivering performance reporting, financial analysis, forecasting support and business insights. You'll play a key role in monthly reporting, business case modelling and operational analysis, helping leaders understand performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare daily and weekly performance reporting, providing insights against business targets.
- Support month-end reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to explain performance against budget and forecast.
- Build and maintain financial models for business cases, tenders and investment decisions.
- Support annual pricing reviews through analysis and modelling.
- Prepare external and regulatory reporting as required.
- Analyse stockpile movements and monitor performance against site limits.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across reporting and analysis activities.
What Makes You A GOgetter
- Degree qualified, with CA or CPA qualifications.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting experience in a similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Pivot and complex modelling.
- Experience using Power BI to develop insights and reporting.
- Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly organised, adaptable and able to meet competing deadlines.
- Exposure to waste, recycling, infrastructure or related industries will be highly regarded.
