BINGO industries are looking for our newest Financial Controller to be based in our Head Office in Auburn, Sydney. The Financial Controller is responsible for all operational activities across Financial Reporting, Collections & Revenue, Tax related governance and compliance, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. The Financial Controller will work with business stakeholders to improve internal controls and enhance operational efficiency with systems. 

Role & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Responsible for the efficient operations of the Revenue function ensuring the timely collection of payments from customers  
  • Partner with the business support teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing  
  • Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with all relevant legislation and drive a high standard of customer service  
  • Drive system transformation initiatives and continuous improvement of all processes and procedures  
  • Partner with key business Executives to proactively manage outstanding debtors  
  • Prepare timely and accurate reporting and forecasting to a variety of key stakeholder groups as agreed, providing key insights for decision making  
  • Identify areas of focus for improvement through monthly analysis of performance data and reporting 
  • Compliance for the Australian tax consolidated group and liaising with external tax advisors   
  • Support key projects and initiatives designed to identify opportunities to minimise business related tax implications, or avenues to gain tax relief from government related initiatives 
  • Managing Federal or State Revenue Authority reviews or audits   
  • Implementing tax governance framework and maintaining internal reporting controls & procedures  
  • Monitor changes to legislation or any emerging risks and advise the Group on the potential impact  
  • Improving tax systems and reporting   
  • Tax planning  and tax effect accounting   

 

What makes you a GOgetter: 

 

  • Professional undergraduate qualifications along with further professional development such as FTA/CFA/Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance/CA/CPA 
  • Infrastructure or waste management industry experience desirable 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including excel and power point skills to prepare high quality reports and presentations that convey a clear and concise message 
  • Knowledge of Acts, regulations and professional practices relating to financial accounting and management  
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and knowledge  
  • Ability to effectively apply knowledge of financial and accounting principals and practices  
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software principals and packages
