Maintenance Scheduler

Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, our Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for the preparation, planning and scheduling of all preventative and corrective maintenance jobs for our state-of-the-art resource recovery plant, Materials Processing Centre Two (MPC2).


The role:

  • Work closely with the Plant Maintenance Manager to plan and schedule shutdowns, preventative and corrective maintenance and operational improvement activities.
  • Take ownership of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including raising new and closing off completed jobs, training and auditing of data.
  • Prepare and monitor weekly schedules to ensure up to date tracking, compliance, job feedback and adjusting requirements to deadlines.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly reporting on maintenance jobs, budget management and forecasts and KPI benchmarks.
  • Assign resources (including tools, parts and equipment) and delegate tasks in line with the scheduling and urgency of jobs.
  • Be able to provide analysis on missed or incomplete jobs and reworks.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to align operational needs, resource requirements and recommended solutions for greater plant efficiency.
  • Coordinate wider site facilities maintenance such as site repairs and fire systems
  • Work with the Maintenance Storeperson to record and order inventory for both MPC’s, ensuring cost management and reliability of order times to have all parts, equipment and stock available when required.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance scheduling, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Heavy mechanical trade qualification highly regarded.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Suite, MS project, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prepare and analyse reports through various functions
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines and be proactive in making urgent changes.
