People & Culture Manager

The People & Culture Manager is responsible for partnering with the business to provide generalist advice in the area of Human Resources, including but not limited to recruitment, engagement, capability development, industrial relations and grievance management

 

The job

  • Partner with line leaders to proactively engage employees and limit employee relations matters.
  • Be available and proactive in forming relationships with employees that position this role as approachable and highly visible.
  • Provide support to leaders to resolve employee relations disputes and identify potential people issues before they arise.
  • As required, assist with the recruitment and on-boarding/induction process.
  • Proactively recommend people solutions to support business changes.
  • Assist with the development and review of People & Culture policies and processes.
  • Communicate, educate and train employees and leaders on key People & Culture initiatives, policies and programs.
  • Conduct investigations as appropriate, following due process.
  • Guide leaders in all People & Culture policies and process, including but not limited to; performance management, inclusion/EEO, learning and development, remuneration, resource planning and talent.
  • As required, assist with the implementation and administration of the SuccessFactors HRIS system, including communication, education and training of the business.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, recommending changes and ensuring best practice is applied.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the People & Culture team to ensure a one team approach.
  • Work collaboratively across other support functions, particularly SEQ, utilising key information to make people related decisions.

What you bring

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent understanding of employment law and industrial relations
  • Prior experience working with HRIS and change programs
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
